Dance Classes - Dancing Opportunities in Hong Kong
Regular Reel Club Meetings: |

| Description | This is not a formal class, though there will be some focus on learning formations. The emphasis is on social dancing and all dances are walked through. |

| Time | Every Monday evening from 8:00pm to 10:00pm |
| Dates | From 6th September 2010 through 13th December 2010 |
| To join: | Just come along any Monday night when there is a session and join in. You'll find it easier if you've done some dancing before, even just a little. If you have never done any dancing before you might want to consider joining our beginners' classes first. |
| Note: Scottish Country Dancing shoes or soft shoes required. | |
| Cost: | $50 per evening for members of the Hong Kong Highlanders or the Hong Kong Cricket Club, $70 per evening otherwise. Payment is on an attendance basis; there are no annual or termly fees or membership fees for the Reel Club itself. Becoming a member of the Highlanders can save you some money though, as well as giving you access to a fantastic social whirl. |
| Hong Kong Highlander's Advanced Class | |
| Description | This is a class for experienced dancers which aims at developing technique and providing demonstration teams. |
| Venue: | Hong Kong Park Indoor Games Hall |
| Time | Every Wednesday evening from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, subject to hall
availability. |
| Dates: | From 8th September 2010 through 15th December 2010
Attendance is open to members of the Hong Kong Highlanders and visiting dancers only. |
| To join: | We expect class participants to have reasonable degree of knowledge of dancing. Entry to this class is by invitation only. If you are interested, please contact Joe Schembri. |
| Cost: | $40 per session for members. |
| Reel Club Beginner's, Improver's and Intermediate Classes | |
| Description | A series of classes covering the basic steps and formations of Scottish Country Dancing aimed at giving you all you need to take part in the regular social whirl. |

| Cost: | $50 per evening for members of the Hong Kong Highlanders or the Hong Kong Cricket Club, $70 per evening otherwise. Payment is on an attendance basis; there are no annual or termly fees or membership fees for the Reel Club itself. Becoming a member of the Highlanders can save you some money though, as well as giving you access to a fantastic social whirl. The cost includes attendance at the first hour of the regular Reel Club meetings. Note that, while it is not required for higher level classes, joining the Highlanders will only cost you $50 joining fee plus $100 annual subscription, so you may want to consider doing so. Application forms will be available at the classes and downloadable from the website. |
